Motion Carried FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER: - MKCS (Ret) Rich Fichter mentioned the following items. Thanks for emailing them in Rich. 1. The Cape Cod Chapter, CPOA Boosters list was started about 1989 or so to defray expenses related to our monthly newsletter. This included, but not limited to, supplies, bulk mailing permit and monthly mailing fees. The Boosters at that time were not limited to members as almost two sheets were business card displays of their business. Not many years passed when this display was considered advertising and we had to discontinue outside support. The members have continued to be Boosters by making a donation (usually $10.00/year) and having their name and expiration month & year listed in the HELMSMAN. YES, the number of Boosters has dwindled but your support is still needed to carry on our work. See our Chapter Treasurer to become a BOOSTER...(We had two members do that at the meeting… Thanks Rich Labbe and Kenley Hallock!)
2. I just wanted the membership to be aware that we, the Chapter, has an open offer to have a representative of US FAMILY HEALTH PLAN to give a presentation at a meeting. As you know, US FAMILY HEALTH is an optional plan to Tricare for those of us who live locally. Many of us are already enjoying the plan and it's additional benefits. We need your response to make arraignments for this to happen at a future Chapter meeting. Are you interested??? LET US KNOW
Submitted by: Rich Fichter MKCS USCGR (Ret.) 50/50 – A total of $23.00 was collected. MKCS (Ret) Rich Fichter was the winner and returned to the General Fund. 2002 - Meeting adjourned
