MINUTES OF MEETING: December 7th 2005

1910 – The smoking lamp is extinguished.  Meeting called to order by the Chapter President Jeff Perdue.

MEMBERS PRESENT:

MSTC Jeff Perdue, ETCS (Ret) Bruce MacIntire, ETCM Dave Pouler, MKC (Ret) Kenley Hallock, HSCS (Ret) John LaCava, HTCM (Ret) Rich Labbe, MKCS (Ret) Rich Fichter.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/ PREAMBLE/ MOMENT OF SILENCE .  We also remembered Jerry Piunti and  those who fought throughout the war on this very special Day of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

MINUTES: Minutes accepted as presented.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

–         Secretary has been away since August and will update the website.

FINANCE: Co-Chairman’s:  ADCM Ken Norton (Ret), MSG Tom Coyle (Ret)

SPECIAL OLYMPICS:  Chairman: 

– We will be looking for a new chair person for this important event.        

ADHOC-COMMITTEE REPORTS:

PLANNING: Chairman – Vacant –Request new CMTE Chair

FUND RAISING: Chairman - ETCS Bruce MacIntire

GOLF : Chairman - Looking for a person to chair the Spring 2006 event.

OLD BUSINESS:

-    NTR

NEW BUSINESS:

-    Motion made to donate $200 to the Cape Cod Times Needy Fund.  Motion Carried.

- John LaCava will be gone for the winter, but will be returning in April.  He expressed his regret that there was not any  Coast Guard representation on Memorial day at the National Cemetery.  He would like to ensure the CG is represented next year and will speak with the cemetery director when he returns in April.

 - John also volunteered to arrange for the meal during the spring golf tournament.  Thank you.

FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER:

-    The members agreed to place a plaque on the pool table in honor of Jerry Piunti who donated this to the CPOA.

- Chapter Officers will be getting together to ensure that any lengthy absences will minimizes getting information out to our members.   Thank you for your patience. 

- We would also like to hold meetings at different locations throughout the next year.  Any suggestions are welcome.

50/50 – $7.00 was collected from the members present and returned to the General Fund.
