Sandra Hick has agreed to sign National Anthem. -
Request has gone out to Captain Ostebo, Commanding Officer Air Station
Cape Cod, to be a guest speaker at event. -
Request 6 Chiefs be present in uniform to give awards to participants.

BUSINESS: ·
Installation of new officers conducted at
this time. ·
Upon request by MKCS Rich Fichter, all
debts/donations obligated have been reviewed and verified as paid. ·
Golf Tournament is being planned for the
fall due to time constraints. CWO
Vance Murphy has graciously volunteered to organize the event and will
be assisted by AETC Dan Morisset. ·
Former PO Box account is closed and paid in full.
New address for Chapter is on this newsletter issue. ·
New Chapter President DCC Jim Kline has the following
vision for the Cape Cod Chapter: §
Increase
participation from Chapter Members; §
Increase
our membership; §
Hold
more fundraisers; §
Increase
Chapter participation in community service events and projects. ·
National CPOA records show that the charter for the Cape Cod Chapter
was revoked in February 2004. Current
officials hold correspondence that reflects the issue as resolved in
2005. As of this meeting
date chapter is reinstalled and the member list for Cape Cod Chapter is
being reviewed and corrected as needed.
If chapter members could go to the National CPOA website and
verify their chapter affiliation that would be helpful.

Motion was made and carried to hold all future meetings at the Air
Station Cape Cod Chief’s Mess. CPOA
must abide by all rules and regulations in effect for facility.
Occasionally, meetings will be held at alternate host sites such
as Rhode Island. Advance
notice will be provided. NEW BUSINESS:(continued…) ·
Motion was made and carried to have current officers relocate all Cape
Cod Chapter CPOA property currently located at The Weary Traveler.
Input from chapter members will be accepted and appreciated.
Current plans include donating all non-essential property items (ie,
electronics) to the Veterans Home in Rhode Island and storing all other
memorabilia until a new location can be designated to display it. FOR
THE GOOD OF THE ORDER: ·
Fair winds and following seas to our former Chapter President, MSTC
Jeff Perdue. He is
departing this month for his new assignment at MSST Boston.
50/50: A total
of $52.00 was collected. AETC
Minik donated his winnings to the General Fund. Raffle: AETCS Sparks was the lucky winner of an authentic
Cape Cod Chapter CPOA t-shirt! 1958
